Eb 863 (106, 2 – 106, 7)

Experiential knowledge regarding an a’at growth of flesh in all body parts of a man: When you identify an a’at growth of flesh in any body part of a man (and) you find it appears like the skin of his body, **where it (i.e. the growth) is (like) “tanned/cured”,** during which it does not come and go under your fingers, but rather stays in place, (and) in the meanwhile (it) appears that (something) has developed within it, then you say for this: “This is a a’at growth of flesh. (This is) a disease that I shall treat.” May it be attended to with fire! Treat it according to the treatment by a cauterisation assistent.
